Gabrielle Liu Junior Division C
Gabrielle Liu has been playing the violin since the age of 5. She has the privilege of being a student of Cecilia Xu as she continues to develop her potential and love for music. In 2017, Gabrielle was awarded several top prize medallions and scholarships of the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festivals and subsequently chosen to represent the VKMF at the 2017 Performing Art Provincial Festival held in Kamloops, BC. In the 2018 CMC National Finals, she was awarded first place in the string 9-year-old category and a Canimex Group scholarship for obtaining the second highest note in the grand category 7-10 years old. She had the honour of performing at the VKMF Gala concerts in 2017 and 2019. Furthermore, in 2019 she was awarded first place and highest mark in both International Music Competitions of Elite and G.O.C.A.A. As a result, she has received the Most Talented Award and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. Additionally, Gabrielle was the winner of the 2019 junior division of the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra. This year, Gabrielle obtained first place and achieved the highest mark at the 8th GOCAA International Violin Competition Preliminary. She will be entering the 8th grade at Lord Byng Secondary School for their Strings program this September, where she will hope to further her musical studies.

Wu Yijie, cellist , 11years old
A student from Changchun Street Primary School in Wuhan
Wu Yijie, a Chinese cellist, began to learn the cello at the age of 7 and has been studying under the tutelage of Liu Xia, a famous cellist in Wuhan.
He has performed well in the Hong Kong International Music Festival 2020 and the Canada International Music Competition 2021.
He focuses on the music itself and is willing to express the music with his skilled playing skills and musical sense to show the charm of the cello.

LI.ZOURUICHEN. I'm 10 years old. I come from Wuhan, a beautiful and heroic city in China. I am lively and cheerful, diligent and studious. My hobbies include cello, badminton, science and technology, history and military. I have been practicing Cello for 2 years, and I am making continuous progress. I hope the music flowing from my fingertips can always accompany me, bring me peace of mind, bring wonderful enjoyment to my family and friends, and bring peace and stability to the world.
